Default BPS and HTML Email

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, we are looking to implement BlackBerry Professional Software (Express) for a few of our executives, and after reading through the software specifications and these forums I am concerned about HTML email.

How does BPS currently handle HTML email? I assume it delivers it to the phone, just not as HTML. Am I wrong in this assumption?

Our executives receive mostly HTML email and if they are unable to access 70% of their messages from the new BlackBerry devices... well, it would be a bad day.

Thank you,
Gabe

Correct, it will be delivered, but as text rather than HTML.

When SP6 for BPS comes out though this will be sorted and HTML mail will come through to the handset as HTML, as long as the handset supports it.

RIM considers BPS to be a low end product, so they update it less frequently. They want you to buy the full BES.

That attitude is very disappointing from RIM.... My company has invested a decent amount of money into BPS and we are stuck waiting for HTML email like a 2nd class citizen.. It's almost enough to switch back to Windows Mobile.... but..... yeah....

I apologize for resurrecting an old thread, but is there any new information about an upgrade to BPS that will permit html email?

Thank you.

Actually that is what I am considering (although regretfully because it is overkill for my needs). I need some CALs anyway, so...
