Default Best Blackberry Service

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I returned the BB to Nextel and was so fed up...

Now I'm in the market for a new one, but I put it out to you, the best Blackberry Service is _________?

Now instead of posting you can call me 516 870 6946 or 2way me at 172*301156*24...I wont be infront of a computer to check, so its best to just call me...

Thanks

BF

Wirelessly posted (My sword: BlackBerry7290/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I'm a heavy user @ 2000+ minutes a month. I've had'em all. I'm currently with stingular, but the best svc that I've had was with vzw. I actually had the opportunity to work for vzw as a tech, and one of the greatest things about the job was that they sent you to school every month to learn about the different technologies... Just like the tv commercial, when you turn around you have millions behind you.. Biggest and most reliable network=vzw hands down

i would say T-mo or Cingular. No way with Nextel / Sprint. Reason being Nextel is a proprietary system which means no roaming if needed and no international coverage. Would say go with T-mo or Cingular both use GSM which is the world wide Cellular standard. Just my 2 cents

Nextel International covers their iDEN networks south of the US. For regular Nextel, you will need to purchase a Nextel provisioned GSM phone to use it in Europe.

not trying to knock nextel but having to switch phones and what not becomes an issue also if switch your phone that means no BeRRy which kind of defeats the purpose. Were as if you are on GSM you just kEEping useing what you cuRRentley have no harware changes at aLL. Also GSM is in every country in the world

I have Nextel coverage for an old 6510, will I be able to upgrade and still have coverage? I guess the bottom-line question is...will Nextel work on all models?

Appreciate the help, you all have been great.

I would say Nextel for United States or T-Mobile or Cingular for Europe and Asia. I haven't needed roaming on Nextel for coverage in buildings, metropolitan, or rural areas. The clarifier being I never leave the country, but am frequently in rural areas, or in buildings in rural areas. And I never have trouble getting a signal or using the device. Plus you also get DC (direct connect).

Internationally you are going to need GSM, and that means Cingular or Nextel. So if you will be international, I would get one of those. Cingular seems to have the edge (no pun intended) state-side on coverage, especially once you leave interstates and metropolitan areas. But T-Mobile is cheaper.

Hey, I have cingular, and for the initail bugs and glitches, it's not that bad eventhough they are pricey. the unlimited data plan is 44.99 a month vs. 19.99 from T-mobile, dont know what others charge. only really bad thing is that there is no customer service for blackberry users between the hours of 11:00pm to 8:00 am. regular customer service doesnt know anything about the blackberry. Hope this helps.
