I wanted to get some opinions on the effect of having BB messanger on your unit and the result in battery life. Here is the deal from what i can tell since i have put the messanger on the unit the battery life have been a lil less. Nothing crazy but less all the same. I i know the BB messanger does not function like the others with a constand data stream that would of course eat threw your battery but i do know it has some sort of communication with the server and the other pins to tell wether they are avaiable or not so i assume that would consume some battery life. I wonder if mi make myself unavailable would that conserve some juice and or how much. All the same just tossing this out there for oppinions

When I installed the original one that was linked here I did notice battery issues. The app was always active even though I never launched it. I ended up uninstalling it because I wasn't using it and then my battery life went back up. I just upgraded to the latest OS which comes with Messenger but I didn't install it this time. Maybe I will though and test the battery usage again.

I had the original hijacked one and the new one and Ihavent had any issues with either one.
