I did some searching on this and most sites are saying october/november for this to come out (inlcuding nextel) (I really don't believe the sites though, until I hear from nextel).

My thing is i Just got my blackberry from nextel. Should I take it back since I am in my 14 day trial period and wait for that?

I do like the 8700 from what I have seen.

Has anybody called nextel to find out if/when they are going ot have this?

what's the rush? do you NEED a blackberry right now? I'd wait for sure for the 8700...

I know but I'm happy with mine right now and I have it all setup - :P

Does anybody know when this is coming out? (I really like the mp3 feature, was disappointed that I can't use the ringtones I want on the BB 7520, I know it's for business purposes, but we don't have to be that bland do we? - :P)

Persons on this site have reported a Nextel version of the 7100 coming out in Oct/Nov not the 8700. It will most likely be Q2 or Q3 next year, at the earliest, based on the past deployments, before Nextel receives one, if at all.

Like I have posted many times before:
I have had Nextel for a long time and I never believe them on product release till I see it. They are pretty good at pushing stuff back in the years I have had Nextel. I am not bashing them at all, but I don't believe anything till it come out. This new one does look pretty sweet though. I have had the 7520 since its release and I really would like a new BB from Nextel that actually does more things, like MUSIC RINGTONES for starters...HAHAHA! Dang its a freaking mini computer almost, why can't it play regular ringtones. My I860 can play them, but my BB can't?? WTF?? HAHAHA!
