Question What did you pay for your 8900?

Please Login to Remove!

Since the rumor is that TMobile will get the 8900 in Feb 09 and I want something better the my 8100 and the wife won't switch to AT&T looks like I'm getting an 8900 in Feb.

I'm hoping someone will reply with some kind of upgrade price from TMobile. I can search ebay.

$450 new, unlocked; free of contractual agreement Clearly you'd be able to get it for less @ T-Mo but with a 2-year contract. (Minus the UMA deal which was discussed a lot in other threads.)

The price for the 8900 in Germany is 360 Euro (incl. local VAT of 19%). Which equals to around $500.

Thanks. Well if there $500 from Tmobile in the states maybe my 8100 will be good enough.

They will be around that with no contract. As a customer you should be able to negotiate a better deal though.

Ouch, that made me cringe. I paid $49 through Rogers, did not have to extend my contract =). It was going to be more but due to shipping issues they gave me an extra credit.

Almost all mobile phones sold in Germany are unlocked out of the box. There are only a few exceptions, e.g. PrePaid packages, iPhone etc..

Keyboard a bit different but nothing big.
On Ebay you can fetch one for a reasonable price (note that "reasonable" is relative. )

Yes the difference is the keyboard Qwterz (T-mobile Germany) vs Qwtery (Roger).

But, everything is the same.
