The only flash enabled BB will be on the OS for the Playbook, for now. Seems so silly that they have never addressed it on a BB before. Pisses me off that Apple will not allow flash on their phones and tablets - and that RIM doesn't have it on any devices as of yet.

It's an incorrect statement to say that "they have never addressed it on a BB before".

It was announced about a year ago that RIM and Adobe are working on a release of Adobe Flash for the BlackBerry platform.

The release was reported to be in the second half of 2010, but thus far has been delayed.

Ummmm NO -- not from what I have heard. It will be on QNX, and as of yet, it has NOT been addressed on ANY BB OS that I'm aware of, has it? Can you show me any one BB OS where is has been addressed?

Announcing it (and delaying it) doesn't actually "address" the issue. Making it work, DOES. Besides which, if they really wanted to enable it that badly, you think they would have done so by now, years later...on the worlds MOST POPULAR Smart phone...

"Addressed" doesn't mean "released". Addressed means they have acknowledged the issue and they are working on it.

And your post did NOT reference BBOS. You posted "they have never addressed it on a BB before".

Clearly, even if they release it on QNX, that will be "on a BB".

Like I said..."never been addressed". There's no evidence that they are "working on it" either and the plain simple fact is, there are no BB OS's currently running Flash. The Playbook isn't a BB either...and in fact, will actually require a BB to work on network wireless, at least for the upcoming generation. QNX won't be on BB's for some time to come either...so when you find a BB that runs flash, please be sure to let us all know. I suppose that by your logic, if it happens to surface on a BB in 2-3 years from now, you could claim it would have been addressed many years ago, when some engineer had a an earth shattering revelation in the middle of the night and said to a cohort, "hey, maybe we have to have a Flash enabled BB".
