Default Confused need some help

Please Login to Remove!

I tried all the steps : What to do next if Jl_cmder will not connect and wipe
and now app-loader will connect and start to erase and reinstall, but on the second step, waiting for device initialization, it disconnects and reconnects a couple times, and then gives the error code "unable to reconnect the device during a multi-stage load operation." And the screen has the Battery with a red line threw it,

I have looked threw the fourms to see if there a answer and I could not find it

All help would be great
Thanks

If you are using a USB hub or USB port on a keyboard, or something like that, try another USB port. Especially, connect to a USB port directly on the box.

OK I tried all usb ports on my tower and it will connect and the red light stays on and the screen will light up with the pic of the battery with the red line as soon as I put a battery in it shuts down and will disconnect from the computer

Ok... Let's back up to the beginning.

What caused you to think you should do a wipe?

When you remove the battery cover, what color are the labels inside?

Is your battery good? Was it holding a charge before you had whatever trouble you had?

the phone would keep shut it self off, call my provider and they told me to try desktop manager and do a re-install the software half way threw it I pull the usb cord out of my tower with my foot. Than all I got was the red light flashing 2x's over and over and I found these forums and tried to follow all the steps to see if I can fix it, The battery is good I have 2 8100 BB and it works fine in the other phone

Wish I had a better answer. If you have a media card, remove it, and do what you can to try and connect and wipe the device.

If you can't wipe it, I don't know what to tell you.

Regarding your original issue before you tried to wipe, did you get the blackberry wet? (What color are the labels in the battery compartment?). Did you drop it?

I had this similar problem. Friend pulled out his battery while installing some software. I wiped normally.

So with the battery in, the phone does not connect?

Did you try loading loader.exe and see what happens?

kingofbeers, I've seen it mentioned many times that sometimes you have to keep trying to get JL_CMDER to coonect, apparently getting the timing right. If you are willing, it might be worth it to dedicate the time to give it 50 tries if that is what it takes. But I can understand if instead you say to hell with that idea. Or maybe you've already tried 50 or 100 times. Just for what it's worth.
