Couple of options:

1. Set a password for the device and enter it incorrecty 10 times that will wipe the device clean.

2. Download the Java loader app from the Blackberry site, this will also enable you to clear the device and do a fresh install

3. Open the desktop manager click back up restore then advanced and you can clear items that way.

Except that the 957 isn't a Java device, so the Javaloader will be useless on it.

If I am not mistaken there is a programmer tool out there that lets you wipe these older devices.
