Please tell me that there is a way to directly sync calendars between a blackberry and the outlook/sunbird applications? This would really help my productivity

I am NOT aware of syncing directly to Sunbird unless you can through outlook first.

You can sync to Outlook using Desktop Manager. Try Google Calendar Sync for Sunbird.

I use Google Calendar as my base calendar app and sync my Macs (Lightning), PCs (Outlook), BB and iPhone. Works great other than the collisional dupe.

As for Google Calendar isnt it a bit risky to have your calendar with sensitive information lying in online space where someone could hack-in? That's what i'm worried about and havent decided to start using it.

Nope, you cant sync emails.

There is nothing that sensitive about my calendar. Not that worried about it either. If someone wanted that information, there are any number of ways to find it. Plus I have nothing to hide!

You can use Google contact sync for your contacts into Thunderbird and use DM to sync with Outlook. As said above, email doesn't sync when using BIS.

And also, to use Google sync, you need a BB data plan.
