That's your "Enhance Call Audio" option showing your status. To change, while on a call push the menu button and choose Enhance Call Audio.

Looks like a theme issue.

For the forum policies no body can't post Beta software, so your best bet is to google it.

I added the ringtones and they work great but I still can't add it to my notifications. This doesn't fix my notifications: I created a new profile and it still won't let me do anything but add them as a ringtone. I upgraded from: 8830v-v4.2.2.196_P3.0.0.84 and the file the media loader file doesn't exist on that, so I can't rename it and load it. Do you know any other fix for this?

I'm going back to 4.2. The 4.5 is just mad slow. I liked being able to use sprint tv and documents to go but everything had a 2 or 3 second lag time to it. i'm talkin just scrolling around!

I like 4.5.0.77 but could definitely use a newer version...
Is there a reason it's been so long since a leaked beta upgrade for the 8830?
The Bold seems to be getting an update every week or so.

I think the question should be, where is the official product? I assumed we would be past the beta conversation by now.

I'm with ya. I'm just about getting ready to go back to 4.2.2.196 on my 8830 because of a couple of ANNOYING bugs (my work Groupwise e-mail KEEPS sending deleted messages to my HH, etc). Anyone know the .cod file for the 4.5.0.77 fonts? I'd like to keep those along with the docs2go (which I read around here you can keep even if you downgrade).

Bob -

You'll want to make sure your HH is backed up before you do anything. Then uninstall the current OS from your hard drive (control panel -> Add/remove programs -> uninstall). Then install the .77 OS. After the installation is done, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete the vendor.xml file.

After that, wipe your HH with JL_CMDR (can be found on this site) and then start Desktop Manager (v4.6) **THIS IS OPTIONAL - you could just install OVER the current OS**. Go to Application Loader, advanced settings, and install the new OS.

Happy hunting.

I just did it, rename the net_rim_bb_media_tunebundles_qualcomm.cod file in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8830-v4.2.2.176_P3.0.0.76 (or whatever version yours was) copy it to the same folder, but for version 4.5.0.77 so

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8830-v4.5.0.77_P3.2.0.51

Now rename the file to net_rim_bb_medialoader_8830.cod

Run Desktop manager then the application loader, and you should be good after that. All the ringtones should be back on your device. You may need a battery pull after, this worked for me without having to get an earlier version of 4.5 on my system so it should work for you as well

Hope that helped...

Can someone send me "net_rim_bb_medialoader_qualcomm.cod"? I don't have any previous OS versions on my harddrive... :-\

good luck finding it, but it is out there and has no ringtone issues.

It's real easy to find. I upgraded from .77 to .101 with no issues so far.
