Default Blackberry in water help!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Yesterday my curve fell into shallow water for about 1 second... it still worked when I got it out, but soon started acting funny. I removed the battery, sim etc, and placed the phone on kitty litter in a pan over the stove on low heat and got (I think) all the water out. Problem is, the water is well (ground) water, and is lightly salty...

Now the phone starts up fine, gives me calendar updates etc, but the buttons dont all work as they should, for example, when I press for my menu, I get all the "i's" in my index...

Im wondering if I can take this apart with a t5 screwdriver and wipe something down with rubbing alcohol? Is this even feasible?

thanks!!!

You probably didn't let it dry long enough and fried the insides.

Our tried and true solution is in our FAQ: Got Your BlackBerry Wet? - BlackBerryFAQ

During my time in the Hackney Carriage (Taxi) trade, one drivers BB fell in the Toilet. Another was microwaved! In both cases the devices were trashed.
Sorry for your Bad luck.
