I sent some texts today and there was a small red sqaure clock icon next to the message ... I thought it was queued .. but looked again after 2 hours and the message still hadn't sent !! Did a battery pull and when i went back to the messages, and there was red crosses next to them .. did a re-send and they sent fine !!

What is this red square icon and why hadn't the texts sent in the first instance?

I know it's a pending msg... Were you in a spot that could of had no service... I know here there's random spots of service could be just one section of road like 50 ft no service and the rest is fine...OR Blackberry could of had an outage!

I've had that happen every now and then. No big deal unless it's something that occurs frequently.

SMS is a phone service not a BB service. Has nothing to do with RIM. Probably out of cell coverage.
