Yes, but at the time I upgraded the 8120's OS I waited for T-Mobile authorized version because at that time way too many people were having problems with wi-fi UMA with new OS's on T-Mobile devices.

Nope not on a BES. But realized what the problem is. I have a dual boot PC with TinyXP which has some components removed and my other XP OS is also customized and I have removed many components in that OS also.
I never thought I would need Dialup Networking's modem components
(which have been removed)in my XP OS's.
Both versions of Customized XP OS's I run run excellently and way better than a full XP install, but looks like I will need a "triple" boot system and need to add a nearly "Full Install" of XP to use the Desktop Manager's IP Modem option. I'll just boot up into the "Full Install" of XP when I need to tether the 8120 as a modem when there is no Wi-Fi in range for my laptop.
