Are you referring to the boot screens that show on the device or are you referring to the theme? You won't be able to change the boot menus or anthing as those are hard coded. You can change to a different theme, however.

To change the theme you need to go to Options > Theme and set a different one there.

As for the BlackBerry not being recognized it might be a case where the appropriate driver is not installed on the computer to recognize the BlackBerry. When you install the Desktop Manager application it will install the necessary driver so the computer can recognize and charge the BlackBerry. You can get the the Desktop Manager from http://www.blackberry.com.

There's information in the forums on editing your Blackberry.alx file to get access to other themes on your BB. Chances are that the TMO theme is already in there.

Yeah the T-Mobile Zen themes are in the AT&T BB's. I'm currently using one of them. Love it. I use either this one or the bphone icon or Zen theme, depending on the wallpaper (I get bored and change it every couple weeks).

If it's an AT&T device then the TMobile theme won't be loaded by default. An edit to the Blackberry.alx will load the TMobile theme(s.)

Click on the Optimize your BB link in my signature for more information.
