Default Carfinder on Canada Bell Mobility 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone have Carfinder working on a Canadian 8830 (Bell Mobility)?

I couldn't get it to work.

I am sure my internal GPS is working find as I can do GPS NAV using BB Maps.

Any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have carfinder on my 8310 and it is working fine in Hawaii.
So what's the problem with your carfinder?

Sigta,

I am also on Bell Mobility but am using a BB 8130. Carfinder also does not work for me. It hangs at the very start where you click on the button to tag your current location coordinates. That message saying "Locating GPS coordinates" just keeps going on and on. I am using Carfinder v0.9.1 on OS v4.3.0.66. Google Maps, Garmin Mobile, BB Maps and amAzeGPS all work with no issues. I sent an email to Novasistec's info SMTP address, (you can do this from within the app) about the problem but have not received a reply yet.

I removed Carfinder v0.9.1 using the Desktop Manager and reinstalled Carfinder, this time from mobile(dot)blackberry(dot)com. The version installed is v1.3.1. New version, same results. The app still hangs at the screen saying "Waiting for GPS Signal...".

I emailed a Neosistec Carfinder developer about this and he said they are having some issues with CDMA devices (like my BB 8130). He will keep me posted. In the meantime, I will play around with Nav4All's similar function.

I just downloaded the latest Neosistec Carfinder from http://mobile.blackberry.com. It is v1.3.2. It now gets the GPS coordinates from my BB 8130. I guess they figured out that CDMA problem.
