Default 8830 will not connect to BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I have one 8830 that will not connect to my BES. It will recieve phone calls and I can connect it and sync it manually with a USB cable but it will not show a BES connection in Services Status. This what it looks like:

Voice Services
Status: available
Connection: Mobile Network
Blackberry Internet Service
Connection: not connected
Blackberry Enterprise Server
Connection: not connected

Mobile Network
1x
Mobile Network Provider
Sprint PCS

Bluetooth
Off

Anyone have any ideas on what I should try? I have wiped the device twice and started over but it will not activate unless I plug it directly into the BES via USB.

I assume you have verified with Sprint that the device is provisioned for BES access. If it is provisioned, make sure you dont have any rules/filters preventing the ETP activation email from being sent to your inbox. If you have tried a wireless activation, you may have a this in your trashcan. I would suggest deleting any instances of these emails and try again.

I have 36 Blackberry's and only this one is having the issue. I set them all up myself but this one will not sync wirelessly. Do you really think they would send me one that wasn't provisioned?

I go to Enterprise Activation under Advanced Options and It says "Aquiring Service Connection" and then says that it failed.

Yes, I ordered a few from Verizon and 2 of them were not provisioned. I had to call T-support and tell them about it. They provisioned it instantly. I just ordered 20 more, so far so good upon activations on these. It is possible one could have slipped through the cracks.

Default Try this:

1.On the device, open the phone application (as if you were going to make a call).
2.Dial the following:##000000
3.Now you will be in the programming screen. Verify the following information:
•Mobile Directory #: - should be the user’s phone number, including area code, no parentheses or spaces.
•IMSI_S: - should be the user’s phone number, including area code, no parentheses or spaces.
•Home SID: - whatever it is on other devices in your environment
•SIP User ID: - should be the user’s phone number, including area code, no parentheses or spaces, then@bb.alltel.net or whatever it is for your carrier
•MIP User ID: - should be the user’s phone number, including area code, no parentheses or spaces , then@bb.alltel.net or whatever it is for your carrier
It's most likely the user's phone number is wrong.

Good luck!

When I try that it says Invalid Password?

Default Put in your password first . .

Put in your password first, then go to the phone app, then put in the ##000000, then press the green phone key to dial. then follow the rest of the instructions.

Try again.

Haha I did it 3 times and keep getting the same error. I'm on the phone with Sprint right now.
