just curious - how exactly did you hide the options menu? unfortunately i don't have an 8700, so i can't test (heh), but from the simulator, it honestly doesn't appear as if you have the option to hide it (from the home screen options, that is).

I am really stumped, like I've been locked out of my phone!!

please advise.............
How about when you just type the letter O...the option screen should show up. Make sure that the "dial from Home screen" option in your phone app is set as "No" so you can use shortcuts like O for options, M for messages/mail, etc.

I just tried to load IM+ on my BB and when I get to the final step, it says that it's going to load IM+ but remove CryptMagic and the Zen theme cause they aren't supported.

Also, the first 5 icons in Applications are not the ones that show up on my Home Screen. My Home Screen has Messages, SMS, Browser, Address Book and Calendar and I can't move them around. Not a big deal but it's interesting that some of you can .

I'm on 4.1.0.258 now.
FYI... I just did the other upgrade to 4.1.0.284 and now my first 5 icons show up on the Home Screen. Even though build 258 had the Zen theme, I don't think "enchanced" theme support was complete.

Build 284 works great!

OK... I have read every post here and I still can't figure out how to change the 5 icons on the home page.

Im running HK 4.1.0.258-CSL
I downloaded https://webdisk.ucalgary.ca/~jkon/b...zen_320x240.cod
Installed it properly in my installation directory, edited my .alx file
Installed it onto my 8700

Now.. when I go to Options>Home Screen I get....

Organize Applications
Show number of unread messages
Show application names

When I go to organize applications, it only alows me to orgainize those applications. I have changed them arround, hidden them, but still I am unable to change out or around the 5 icons on the home page.

What am I doing wrong here

Thanks

you need to move the ones you want all the way to the top of the list. So basicaly you move the 5 you want to the order you want them to be from first to fifth on the top of the list.

Wait when you move them, do they stay up there in the same order? When I move one I would have to click on the wheel to confirm the new location, by hitting the return key will not do it.

I get the choices of..

Move application
Hide Application
Revert to Defaults
Close

I then click on move application, move the application and then click on the trackwheel and get

Complete Move
Cancel Move
Close

I click on Complete move. It completes the move. It does change it in the applications folder, but doesn't change anything on the home screen

Im wondering if it has something to do with the version I'm running
(running HK 4.1.0.258-CSL)
