Default 8100 O.s.

I have the 8100 and am currently using the 4.2.0.64 operating system. Is there an updated o.s. offered by blackberry or is the one in the stickies the only one? It seems like that operating system has a lot of bugs that still needs to be fixed. Thank you in advance.

The latest one available is the one stickied (.108, I believe).
What sort of bugs have you found?

I believe the latest one for the 8100 as per the stickied thread under
RIM software on this:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-...ry-device.html
is:
BlackBerry 8100xxx8482; / Pkg:4.2.1.181, App:4.2.1.109 , Plt:2.3.0.85 (ROGERS)

I just downloaded it last night actually for my wife's Pearl .
Though haven't loaded it yet on the phone.

I haven't personally used it but from reading through the thread it seems like there is a problem with the sms messaging and the symbols overlap one another if you have multiple symbols, ex. missed call, email, text message etc.

The symbols deal is a theme matter, not the OS.
