Question ringtone silent-button

Please Login to Remove!

When I recieved a phonecall on my old Nokia I could push a button to be silent instead of ignoring the call.
Is there a way to do so on a blackberry?

thanks.

The button on top of your blackberry is a mute button. The incoming call still rings, but is muted.

The volume button on the side will also silence the ringer.

Will this work when i'm called.
I mean, suppose i'm getting a call but I don't won't to be disturbed, is it possible to stop the ringtone from ringing at the moment when i'm receiving a call.
This in case when i'm in a meeting and I did forget to change the profile to silent.

yea just hit the volume keys on the side of the phone...the caller wont know your ignoring them as they would if you hit the "Red phone button" but the ringtone/vibrate will be stopped....

... and also dumps the caller directly to voice mail, so they know you're deliberately avoiding the call.
