Hello, I just picked up a Bold 9650 on Verizon...I'm using BES with my company.

Is the 9650 a lot different than the 9000? Should I post/read in the 9000 forum?

Anyway, happy to be here - been lurking for a long time.

No, you should post any questions regarding the 9650 in the 9600 device forum.

So is it the Bold or the Tour? lol...I guess Tour is the "code name"?

Is there a good forum app that I can use? Not just for BBF, but for all of the other forums I read?

Upgrade the web browser? Has anyone tried Bolt?

The Tour is the 9630. 9650 is called the Bold (II). Don't ask why. It is always best to use the model number and not the name.

For the app questions, please use the SEARCH feature and also look in the aftermarket section and BB App World.

And if this is your personal device, some of us here do not recommend adding a personal device to BES or mixing company and personal data on one device. The company IT Policy can really limit what you can do with YOUR device.

Cool - thanks. I'm very familiar with searching forums and I will use it for sure. Just mainly saying Hello here and making a conversation...That's all.

Great info on what my BES can see...Making me think about that text I got last night that said "I'm wearing a makeshift bikini and need my birthday spankings"

hmm...Better not piss off my boss, lol.

Best advice I can give is that if you need access to your personal phone, email, SMS etc., get a device for that and keep it off the company BES.

Could anyone please help me.
I have just got (three days a go) a Blackberry Curve 8520.
Although, as I understand it... This model is very basic and lacks features such as '3G' and a good version of 'GPS'.

So due to this I have been thinking about changing my phone for the old Blackberry 8900. Reason being, this phone has '3G' and a good version of 'GPS'. Am I right?
And also, because the shop where I got the Curve 8520, doesn't have a very big selection of phones. . .

Is this a stupid idea? Is the Curve 8520 (which I have) better than the 8900?
I hear that the 8900 has had some problems in the past...

I know that the 8900 has a scroll-ball...rather than a touch-sensitive pad.

Can someone please assist.

Many Thanks.

nope, the 8900 doesn't have 3G. but it does have GPS.

Also you should have posted your own thread, as its bad manners to hijack someone elses.

I was having great difficulty to post a thread... If someone could guide me to how I post one, it would be very appreciated.

Also, I'm very sorry for not knowing the ways of internet forums.

Many Thanks.

Default Blackberry Curve 8900 Vs 8520

I'm having a small dilema here.
I have only a few days ago, got myself The Blackberry Curve 8520.

I am having small regrets...

The shop where I got this phone has a very small selection of Blackberry models.

After speaking with some people who own Blackberrys, I have learnt that the Blackberry Curve 8520 is a basic model... Is this right?

The shop where I got the contract Blackberry, have given me the option to exchange my Blackberry 8520 for a 8900.

Is this a stupid idea?

The question is... Is: What Blackberry is better?

The 8520 or the 8900?

I know the 8900 has a scroll-ball... rather than a sensitive touch-pad.

Please could anyone assist in the decision that I am about to make?

Many Thanks

Michael.

Night, thats not a new thread...

go here http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ry-discussion/ top left says "NEW THREAD" not New Reply.

Its up to you. 8520 = no 3G no GPS
8900 = no 3G but GPS
