Wink Hi Everybody

I'm on the Verizon Network here in LA, and I moving on from my razr v3m in a couple of days
I'm was looking at the voyager and the pearl, but decided on the pearl mainly because well... its a smartphone

So I'll be joining the current crackberry users soon :D
quick question tho: does verizon lock down some features such as OBEX or anything else on their blackberrys

Welcome! Glad to have you here. I know Verizon does limit a few things and a Verizon user will be by soon to tell you what that is. In the mean time have fun.

Verizon offers all of the options of a BlackBerry.

You are asked to use their GPS program (for a fee) but I would never let that sway me away from them.

When I was with Verizon I had the Pearl with a Bluetooth GPS puck. Worked like a charm.

Yes with VZW a gps works without issue. Welcome to the forums.

Also VZW is the only major carrier to REQUIRE a BB data plan. So you will have an extra $30 a month on top of your normal charges if the rep didnt tell you.

yup i know that.. do you know if I can use programs like Opera, Facebook, etc.
