You will be able to use EDGE but not 3G.

You can look at the rumors section. Have not heard anything about it myself, though.

The Storm has a GSM model that operates on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 as well as HSDPA 2100. It's a Vodafone exclusive but should work unlocked on AT&T for EDGE. Folks have gotten the "world phone" CDMA/GSM 9530 and 9550 models to work on just the GSM side too.

I haven't heard of the Storm coming to anyone but Verizon, Tellus, Bell, and Vodafone. I was hoping Sprint would get the 9550 at some point but I've basically given up hope. Sprint seems to have zero interest in it. I also have not heard of a North American model of the Storm coming to the GSM carriers.

AT&T doesnt have software for 9530
You will not have browser icon on your device
If you dont care about browsing internet
Then u will be OK

Always check which device carrier support before you decide to make a purchase

That is not correct BB-Tech. While AT&T might not have it, there are ways to get the proper service books and connect to RIM services. Once you have the proper set-up and service books, it will work as any other BB, only on EDGE only.

Check the yellow sticky at the top of the 9500 section. Many have done it, including our mods.

AT & T Inc. in the United States is the largest provider of fixed telephony, broadband and television services and also offers membership.Upon completion of the merger, SBC Communications adopted the AT & T branding, and its corporate name change to AT & T Inc.Both deal consolidated ownership of Cingular Wireless and Yellowpages.com, once joint ventures between BellSouth and AT & T Wireless, AT & T, including the services offered under the name,
