just wanted to know why my signal is color pink next to the UMA? i dont remember it being that color or style. Is this normal?

The UMA indicator is theme dependent. I have noticed different themes show this differently.

that makes sense, im currently using the Precision T-mobile theme or stock theme if you'd like to say.
