Default Squeeky Crunchy Battery Door!

Please Login to Remove!

Seriously, come on RIM! This is getting old. Have my Torch since around Launch, and low and behold the Squeek, and crunch sound has showed up on the bottom and corners of the phone. The only recent model line that was made well and didn't have it was the BOLD line, the 9000 and 9700. Most other had the paper thin door (like this) that would eventually end up getting loose and start squeeking. May not bother some, but I like my phone to feel solid. All in all, build quality on this device is a step down from some previous BB's, and that's not a good thing moving forward, especially in 2010!

Did you see http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...l#post1640252? If you aren't happy, you should see about exchanging it.

yup I saw that...However mine is the battery door, not so much the housing. I'll wait until my 30 days are about up and do an exchange.

Battery doors are always finicky on BB. Properly lining it in the grooves should make for a smooth secure fit.

Exchanged it...this battery door is perfect! However, the slide is tiny bit loose, and the Browser has some lag that the previous did not! Welcome to the world of RIM...10yrs later and still putting out half baked devices...
