I downloaded the OS for my device. The OS started and proceeded to run the app loader. The app loader went through a series of about 8 steps.
Here I had a white screen with tiny black print that said JVM error 54 and reset directly under. On another thread, I was directed to wipe the phone using JL Commander and use Desktop manager to restore the device.
I wiped the phone. Now, anytime I coonect the battery it goes through the following cycle:
The red LED comes on
The red LED goes off
A few seconds later the Screen goes white and has the hour glass for about 5seconds
Thanks for the link. It almost worked. The first time I went through the process all seemed fine until the very last step. After disconnecting and waiting for the BB to load I got a JVM error 102. So I tried to go through the process again.
This time at the end the device did the same as before. It was renuked. I tried several more times with the same results.
I removed both the device manager and desktop manager and restarted the computer. Then I installed the device manager and desktop manager and restarted the computer. I then tried the process again only to get the same results.
1,are you using the data cable that came with your BB and not a generic mini usb cable for mp3 player/digital camera etc?
2,is your data cable plugged into a usb port in the back of your pc and not into a port on the front or a usb multi hub?
I have had OS upgrades fail in the past and it always seemed to be towards the end of the process and I came to the conclusion that the BB was not getting enough power through the data cable so now I always use a genuine cable plugged in the back of my pc and no longer have any problems.

The only other thing I can find is to try to load 4.2, but I don't see this OS on AT&T's site. Does anyone know where I can get 4.2? Is this a step in the right direction?
Before selecting which apps to load along with the OS there is a button "DETAILS" This button brings up a box that says 4.3 system software properties. In this box are two tabs: General and Modules under modules I find This application is composed of the following modules: There is 3 colums Module Name-Installed Version-Available Version The names are written in the same format (net_rim_bb_setupwizard) -Installed version is "not installed"- The available version is "4.3.0.93"
Here's the kicker. The very last module the name is KnJCDE Installed version is not installed - The available wersion is 0.0
Is this module causing my problems? Can I remove it somehow?
