So far, it looks pretty good. All the glitches I had with 3rd party apps are gone. Don't seem to have the 141 lag issues. Still early, but so far I'm happy.

I have downloaded and it is working great and fast, when using the virtual keyboard, the letters that pop up are larger and for me the Facebook app now appears in Social Feeds

It appears that the keyboard input options menu has changed. Among a few other things.

Installed, went well, everything works!

Switching between apps is MUCH faster, browser seems faster too.

Will test more things as I go through my day.

Arghh,

I can't get any of these sites to work. They get hung up on "getting file information".

Could it be something on my end?

Thanks,

Jeff

OK. Here's one. Loaded fine yesterday. All of the annoyances (Manage Connections popping up when you touch the top of the screen, inability to control/eliminate views) are still there. Certainly faster than .141 which was a train wreck.

Since installing .214, I haven't accidentally deleted all of my messages by inadvertently pressing the 'Delete Prior' button that used to appear on the pop-up box when you touch a date in the message list.

I wait until I see the usual progression of posts related to beta OSs:

-15 that say, "it's way faster"
-15 that say, "it's slower"
-15 that say, "battery life is great!"
-15 that say, "my battery is dying in one hour with this update"
-15 that say, "voice quality is much better"
-15 that say, "voice sounds horrible."

After that, I'll flip a coin...

Put me in the "way faster, great battery life" category.
I don't make or receive enough voice calls to pass judgement on that.

Do you have to used 6.0 desktop to install this, or can you use 5.0.1?

OS 6 is not recognized in DM5, if i recall correctly.

However, you also dont have to use either when installing a beta. You can launch it using the Apploader.exe. Just follow the instructions on how to install an OS for your BB

Nevermind. I remembered you don't use DM... I used loader.exe.

Worked fine.

Browser does seem faster.

Also, I see they added a nice little feature to the browser. When you scroll down and the address bar becomes hidden, a little dropdown arrow appears at the top of the browser window. When you tap it, the address bar appears, so you don't need to go to the top of the page to see the address bar.

only issue I've seen so far is when sending a long message I have to scroll down to see what i'm texting...it doesn't automatically scroll down as I type.
