Help says sym lock can be set by pressing alt+UP ARROW, but this does not work.

Help also says CAPS Lock can be set by pressing alt+UP ARROW, but this does not work either! However, CAPS Lock can be set by pressing and holding the UP Arrow.

Incorrect Help files are worse than useless! Can someone please tell me how to set sym lock?

Also, when you press sym the keyboard changes to an unusual set of symbols; pressing twice (or sometimes three times) brings up the normal English symbols (including the number keys). Why doesn't pressing sym ONCE bring up the normal symbols and keypad?? This is weird!

I cannot find anything in Setup to change to my preference for sym; is this just the way it is, or can it be changed?

Hmm... Didn't get any help here, but the answer is: hold down the alt key for a second!

The symbol key and the alternate keys are not the same. Yes holding the ALT key will get you the upper key symbols but they are not the same. Not real sure how to make SYM stay, not real sure I need it either.
