Hi,
I'm a new Blackberry user...does anyone know if it is possible to get a duplicate SIM for my old mobile phone as well as my Blackberry so that I can have the same number for both? There are instances where I may not want to take my Blackberry with me for security reasons (it's primarily my work device at present) but I do want to be available if someone phones or texts me on that number.

Don't believe this can be done with 2 sims. Only solution would be to take SIM outta the BB and place into another phone

SIM cards and phone numbers are like IP address's - they can only exist in one place at a time...

ezrunner is correct - just take the SIM out and put it in the phone.

Not always, on Vodafone here in the UK we have a product called "multi-sim" which allows you to have 2 sim cards with one phone number! Why - we'll its mainly designed for people with fitted car phones (those were the days) .. or the fancy car stereos with mobile gubbins and sim card holders.

Hop in the car, press a few buttons and any calls go to the car phone..hop out of the car press a few more buttons and calls go to mobile...

IIRC there was something smilarish on T-Mobile in Germany..

wow - never knew that! too cool! Maybe when you "pushed a few buttons" you were just forwarding calls to different SIM?
