Haha, I always find it funny (for lack of a better term) that the vets who have their "secret hookups" for betas always dangle that fact out in front of the rest of us. Then, when the rest of us want to get our hands on the beta (and granted, who here doesn't want the latest, greatest BlackBerry OS), we get slapped on the wrist for asking.

Kind of reminds me of how an older sibling holds a cookie out for the younger sibling to grab. You know...tempting and taunting. Then, when the younger sibling grabs for the cookie, the older one slaps the younger and says, "NO!! BAD!!!"

I know, I know...silly analogy, but still, who really is the one to blame there? Just something to think about.

Upgraded to .210 last night, no problems as of yet. Browser is a lot faster than the .167 I was using.

Just downloaded .214, we'll see if there's a difference.

is there any chance that RIM will allow the browser to download files bigger than 2.9MB?

It's not about RIM making up their mind. They will always have new BETA releases out testing updates.

Default 4.6.0.210

A few issues with this one:

- changed my Normal profile to mute
- right side volume control doesn't work when I'm on Bluetooth headset
- when I make a call with Bluetooth headset, a new pop-up asks me if I want to use the handset to talk on

I have observed no benefits to this release.

Huh...I don't have any of those issues with either .210 or .214.

Well I do like to be up date so I tracked down .214 and skipped .210 all together. Biggest improvement thus far is a serious increase in available memory. And this is with all my crap installed! Sweet!

Google really is your friend!

It's been there since the late 4.5 releases. It's there on the Curve OS.

Having skipped 210 I can't really comment on any specifics, but it certainlt appears more solid and speedy than 190 for sure. The increase in available memory is wonderful.

I updated late last night so maybe later today I will have more specific info.

I know I can't post the location - but I just found 210 on Google - took about 2 minutes. I think I'm allowed post the file name - which should help you find it:

It would be great if someone else who is running .214 could confirm this, but I have found it to be even more responsive than .210. It is still too early for me to report on battery life (I have only been running it since 4:30 yesterday afternoon), but so far I am liking it more than any other OS I've run so far.

This should be interesting... Just moved from .162 to .214. 214 seems ok. I always had a reason to downgrade back to .162 up until now (so far) :-|
