I am about to black out my bold i think because my micro slot door keeps opening and it is annoying the heck out of me... Was wondering do you have to change the keypad?

I just want the bezel to be black along with the buttons haha.

You do not have to change the keypad.

I swapped the mesh and the rubber piece near the mic over to the black bezel. It works not but I still get interference when I turn the speaker on sometimes.

Good lord!!! I didn't see the small mesh on the mic. They really need to redo that video.

I've seen mixed reports about the mesh. Some say it's to prevent dust. I did not transfer the top mesh over. I knew it was there, but I just could not take it off in one piece. I simply tore it to shreds. Despite this, I have no audio issues whatsoever.

Maybe the mic mesh was the most important one. I took the top by using a small flat head screwdriver.
