Default WARNING: UNDELETE app - Do NOT buy

Please Login to Remove!

Worked beautifully at first and it's an app I've needed for a long time. Lovely to get back an email I accidentally deleted.

BUT, it stopped working. Tech Support is ignoring me.

And I've tried installing, deleting, reinstalling, battery pulls - all multiple times.

Loser app. I lost $1.99, and wasted a lot of time. You don't have to.

How does the app work, exactly? Presumably it save the message somewhere. Where? Main memory (and can you identify the database with desktop manager)? Is it stored in Some database file on the media card?

Perhaps the deleted items database is corrupted, and deleting and reinstalling the app doesn't delete the database. Just an idea. If you can figure out where it is and either clear it or delete it, that might be your fix.

A more painful solution would be a security wipe -- remove everything -- and then start over. Do a full backup first, and then selectively restore only the databases you recognize, like messages, contacts, tasks, calendar, profiles...

I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to offer some options.

I'm just the kind of guy who thinks that when someone charges money for something, not a beta, you shouldn't have to turn cartwheels to get it to go.

So I took the coward's way out, spent $7.99 on an app called Fixmo Tools (after playing with the free version for a while), and it offers a whole range of useful tools (including reply/forward and edit, an app that I could never get to work on my Bold or Torch).

Hi Sam,

Sorry to hear you still have problems, if you have a competitive app loaded then that indeed will conflict so it's probably that.

If you want a refund then you'll have to contact App World as it's sold by them and also given that over 1500 users have it working fine it's obviously not an issue with the software itself but all the best in worrying about a couple of dollars .. it's cost a load more to produce it than it's made so it'll be the last time I bother producing an app I can tell you.

It sounds like you are out of memory/file space on the device either because your settings for UnDelete are keeping too many deleted items or other software is using the space.

Try going into UnDelete and emptying the deleted items in all folders (emails, contacts, calendar, etc) and then for a battery pull again. If there is still an issue check the status of the device to see how much memory is free and then check out other software that maybe using the space.
