I installed Google maps, clicked on it after install, asked to allow connection and I accidentally hit deny. I t does nothing but lock up when I click the icon. I have uninstalled twice and rebooted several times. Still only freezes and never opens connection.

Go to Options >Advanced Options >Applications. Click on Google Maps. Hit menu key (left of trackball) and select Edit Permissions. Expand each group and make sure everything is set to "Allow."

I did that. It does not let me allow Interactions> Keystroke injection and Interactions> Browser Filters.

The rest are all allow. No change in the application yet.

Same exact thing happened to me. I've tried every thing imaginable... deleted, reinstalled, rebooted, pulled battery, changed all permissions to allow...

Well, I finally figured it out after hours of pain.

You need to reset your firewall prompts. Anytime those prompts come up when you load a new application always check yes, otherwise the app won't work no matter how many times you uninstall and reinstall.

Directions:

* Options >> Advanced Options >> Applications >> highlight Google
Maps, hit menu, select Edit Permissions >> hit menu again, select
"Reset Firewall Prompts"

* Do a hard reboot (pull the battery after shutting down)

Now run Google Maps again and select "yes" to allow access...

I know 4.1OS does not like GMaps above version 1.54. Lockups and unexception errors occurred regularly when I tried. 8703e's OS4.2 works well with the newest GMaps v2.01.

All i want is the old version of Googlemaps so i can use it on my phone. If anyone could please make it CLEAR where i can get it, instead of sending me around in circles, that would be very kind of you
