Please Login to Remove!

this is probably going to sound like a silly question, but I bought a 7100 on ebay and it has a security lock that is 16 digets that locks out the phone after 1 hour. my carrier is tmobile and they could not help me remove it. it does have some kind of it policy. do u know how to remove? the other question i had was that I don't have a data plan can I still download the thing that you are talking about that removes the it policy. thanks Mike

You can't remove IT policy from a 7100. However, you can install a blank one. Use "Method 2" of this post:

As it should. You wiped the OS off of the device. You need to reinstall the OS onto your device. Look at the top of the 8300 section for your OS and follow the steps in that thread.

it doesnt appear to let me download it. the link on the blackberry website only gives me an option to download the BES option and doesnt even once i click on that.
Really sorry for inconvenience but thought i had finally found a way and am now baffled and worried that i have wiped everything off!
Thanks

If your Bold was connected to a BES then "Resettofactory" will clean it off including the IT policy. If not then the options method is just as good.

If you "wipe" with JL_Cmder you will have a dead device and will have to reload the OS.

Are you still connected to the system that applied the IT policy restricting those features? If so, there is no way around it. In order to remove the policy you will be removed from the BES. Once you connect again the policy will be repushed to the device.

If you're no longer connected to that BES then you can remove the policy. You need to use the "resettofactory" command with JL_Cmder.

Ok i'm sure this will work but the reason i Dled the program was to get rid of the IT policy. But in order to do that i need to have Desk top manager connected to the phone which i can't because i don't have the PW to the policy...is there anyway i can work around this?

Thanks!

There is no IT Policy password, only a password to unlock the device itself. If you don't know that password then enter an incorrect password 10 times. It will wipe the device of all user data and prompt you to set your own password. At that point you can use JL_Cmder to resettofactory which will remove the IT policy completely.

Default Not working

Hey,

Your app seems to be exactly what I need however I'm getting

"'JAVALOADER' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."

I tried adding it to the PATH but that hasn't changed anything.

I'm using Windows 7

Default JVM error 513 .. nothing is working!!

Hi, I got a AT&T blackberry 8310 yesterday which is about two years old. The phone was working fine until I connected to computer. First I installed newest version of blackberry desktop manager 5.0. Then It found some updates that were absolete in my device. So I started installing those updates, I think the latest OS 4.5, after a while it gave a fatal error message JVM 513. It shut down completely with the screen message JVM error 513 RESET. I have tried hard reset, soft reset. Then I foundg this forum. I ran the JL-Cmder as admin (I have Vista and it is 86x ). When I entered the command 4 to wipe the OS from my device, the black screen became red then it asked " if you want to continue erasing your whole device type 'blackberry', I did.. but nothing happend,. It did not do anything. When I entered 1 or 2 to check if the JL-Cmder working or not, it opend an empty notepad window. Please help.. I dont know what to do. I am not very technical but can manage some instructions!
