Default All messages have disappeared- BIS, BES, SMS

Please Login to Remove!

Everything is gone. I'm wide open to suggestions here as I'm completely baffled. I checked with IT and they didn't do anything on their end related to the BES. All of my other BES info is still there (contacts, calendar, etc.) as are my call logs.
  • BIS messages gone
  • BES Messages gone
  • SMS, MMS gone
  • Keep messages set at 30 days, has been for some time
  • 41mb of free memory
  • Reconciliation is same as it's been, no change recently.
  • Am still receiving messages, ables to send messages with all accounts
  • Don't have a recent backup
  • Messages are still on the BES server and in Gmail inbox- just disappeared from BB
  • They were there no more than an hour ago.
  • BB was sitting in a holster, untouched.

I've searched and no one has an answer to this question that doesn't revolve around memory issues, which I obviously don't have.

Anyone?

shot in the dark. Have you tried re-sending your service books and/or requesting the IT people to force a wireless re-sync to your device?

You might also try plugging in your device and changing the encryption keys(from inside the DM) that forced an sync for me.

Your gmail is gone though. All the previous unsaved messages.

Was your gmail accessible from a seperate "mail" box or does your IT policy push everything to one big folder?

Can you access redirected folders?

Oh and lastly...when was the last IT Policy pushed to your device?

Thanks very much for your thoughts. See my notes below.

Tried both. Resent service books and had IT repeat the BES activation. Nothing. Messages are still on servers, just gone from BB

Gave it a try- no dice

IT policy is not very restrictive, doesn't have any control over BIS functions. I have a "separate" gmail box.

I can, and the sync/forward settings for those folders remained, in fact so did my filters. I don't think I lost connection to anything- just the messages got deleted.

Unfortunately I'd already had the BES activation repeated by the time I saw this message, so...
I strongly suspect that some 3rd party app was chomping RAM and my messages were the first to go. My first reflex on seeing everything gone was to do a hard reset, so there's no way to know if memory levels went down to nil. I haven't put on any new apps recently, but I did delete Pocketday that morning and I can't help but wonder if because that app accesses everything from messages, to acting as a SMS server if it didn't somehow screw the pooch upon removal.

At the end of the day this was really more of an inconvenience than anything else (i can, after all, search the server for messages and use the Gmail app to search for messages there). I'm really just concerned with avoiding a repeat performance, especially considering it may have just been fortunate timing that avoided other things disappearing like call logs, etc.
