Exclamation Calendar entries only being kept for 3 Month???

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys, one issue really bothers me...

WHAT F****** sense does it make to keep Calendar entries only for 3 month and then being deleted automatically.

this pi**** me off..... use the calendar for some history but having a history for only 3 month is f****** useless

Can this be extendend to save the notes for unlimited time?
So far only the entries for a series are being kept

Thx for your help

Kind regards
Martin
P.S. Yes i am aware of the search function but wasnt able to find anything

Someone needs to switch to decaf.

Calendar > Options > General Options > Keep Appointments = Forever

Depending on how your calendar is being synced to your device, you can also change settings in Desktop Manager which will allow all calendar entries to be synced.

I mean you're probably drinking too much caffeine and you seem a little high strung.
Switching to a decaffeinated coffee might help with that.

The reason the calendar defaults to 3 months is for memory usage. Keeping every calendar entry will cause it to use more memory. Eventually your BB will run out of memory, will look to free it up, and delete past items, call logs, emails anyway just to have enough memory to keep from crashing.

The reason for that is quite clear but since i am grown up and able to handle the capacities myself i would love to do so.
So since its controlled to be deleted after 3 month it must be able to get it changed.. where?

thx & kr
Martin

If you open Calendar, but do not open an appointment, press the Menu button, scroll down and select Options, select General Options and scroll down to the bottom, there is an option on how many days to keep appointments.

Personally, since I synch to computers at home and work, I'm OK with only having 60 days of the past on my phone. Additionally, by keeping memory consumption low, I think I'm more likely to be able to run other apps without problems and synch faster.

It's running out of memory and the device is deleting items on it's own to clear space.
