Unhappy Battery life on 8120

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to figure out if I am alone or I need to get it replaced.

I got the phone about 2 weeks ago and I noticed that the battery is lasting about 40-48 hours. I keep my phone on for the whole time and maybe talk for about 100 mins or so total, with half of it using BT. Maybe 15mins of WIFI surfing. I keep the WIFI and BT off if not using,
Anyone have similar battery life on 8120? I was expecting a little longer battery life . . .

Mine usually last a couple of days even though I spend around 200 minutes talk time. I can surf about a day and a half before it starts to go red. You might need a new battery, or you can try lowering the brightness or use auto-dim.

P.S. Isn't 2 days good enough? I mean unless you want it to do a week or something. But I think 2 days with frequent use is pretty good.

I had a moto V557 and it would last for almost 5 days when new and after 3 years it was down to 2 days so I am not used to starting off with a new phone at only 2 days with average use.

Back in the day when I had my Razr, I used to get 4-5 days off a charge. With my 8110, I can get 1 1/2 to maybe 2 days, but I charge it very morning by habit. It was a little adjustment to charge it everyday, but no big deal because it is a smart phone that does a lot of things. Heavy surfing and moderate email and phone calling.

I am lucky to get two days out of mine. Moderate use - maybe 30 minutes of talk time a day and 15 emails. It is horrible in my opinion compared to a regular cell phone but it is always connecting to the towers for email and other data so I guess that is killing the battery. I think the OEM battery is way underpowered for this device. So the only solution I have that doesn't involve buying more batteries is charging it as often as I can.

Wirelessly posted

There is a company that makes after market batteries for the pearl, sorry can't remember the name. Only problem is you have to replace the back cover as the battery is physically bigger. Or just charge it when you go to bed everynight.

OK so the bottom line is 2 day battery life is typical with average use and there is no need for me to contact ATT?

Correct, but I guess it can't hurt to contact them.
