just a brief story for my inspiration for the camouflage. I'm a guitar palyer and one of my heroes is Zakk Wylde. I purchased one of his signature series
guitars. here's a pic:
I painted my bb to match my guitar. just paying homage to one of the greatest rock guitarist I've ever heard.
as for the process of painting..first I sanded the original body so the paint would stick. Then I spray painted a couple of coats of flat khaki to lay down the base coat and primer it of sorts. I let that dry for a couple of days. then i went to my local hobby shop and got some brushes and a few different color tamiya model paints to finish the camo off. yes the color blotches are hand painted on..so it involved a lot of sanding and touch up to get the brush marks out..i then sealed it with a satin finish gloss coat spray paint from home depot. 2 coats and a little sanding inbetween. after that finished drying for a couple of days i then applied a "Best skins ever" to protect most of my finish. that's the gist of it.
