I am unable to make calls from my blackberry. If someone calls me it goes str8 to VM. If i try making a call, it says only emergency calls allowed. I used to be able to make calls. Can someone please let me know if there is something i do do about this.

Sounds like your account is blocked. Did you contact your carrier??

Yes i did. I am able to recieve mails and they said there was nothing blocked. They want me to take it to a service center to have it checked out so wanted to know if there was something i could do before i did that.

A policy was applied to your Blackberry to disallow phone calls. You have to ask your BES admin to remove this policy. Then you will be able to do phone calls again.

I supposed that your Blackberry is connected to a Blackberry Enterprise Server. And there must be someone in your company who administrates this server. You have to ask him/her to remove the policy from your BB Account.

If your BB is not connected to a BES, than maybe the policy was applied from the previous owners company.
