We don't touch MDS Services/Integration Service (or whatever the hell they want to call it 'this week'), nor do we do much with MDS Push/Pull ACLs, so those were a bit of a guessing game for me. I hate having to wait 1.5-2 months for our results, though. They better have them ready by WES so we know whether or not to take the tests again

(Yes, I'm kidding. I think it's safe to say some of us passed... teehee)

Chubby regarding the exam, the question referencing "Port needed for LCS?" Would that be Live Comms Server?

Yes. TLS is 5061, TCP is 5060.

I believe that was the software configuration question.

410. The 610 test won't be ready until next month for beta testing, at the earliest. There was a lot of crossover, though.

Default BCX-410 Beta

I appreciate this beta opportunity. I guess we can't comment too much on the actual content of the exam. Shorter questions and an exam survey at the end were expected. I assist in managing close to 300 user devices on a 4.0 BES in a Lotus environment. I stayed in that lonely test room for over 3 hours. For now, I can say that there's much more in this Beta than I have and will ever touch at my current job. BCX-211 is probably for me.

Today is the last day of the Beta period... I took my exam yesterday. I agree with some of the comments above, but I did accept a rather lengthy NDA at the begining of the test, so I'll pass on commenting more.

Just got done taking the test. And all I can say is wow. I am in charge of 14 BES spread across the USA supporting over 7000 users and if I got 50% right I'm lucky. The majority of questions were on things we just don't use in our environment.

Plus at the beginning of the exam it mentioned you need familiarity with 4.1.5. Huh??? Kinda hard to do without it even being released yet.

I am an adim and could justify certs for my work...(you know, in the pocket book) but the web site is packed with little info. I am trying to get my compay to approve these but they have questions

Qustions I sent RIM;

1) Certificates must be renewed, would I have to pay the full price for each renewal test or would that be a different rate?
2) What is the benefit of taking a beta test vs. the regular test?

I passed, as well. With the BCX-410/BCP-410, you are a Certified BlackBerry Administrator. With the BCX-610/BCP-610, you will be a Certified BlackBerry Solutions Designer.

I've talked to two people who have scored over a 70 and only one who scored over an 80 (me). Down at WES, people were scoring in the 50's and passing, so I'm actually quite curious what the cut-off point was (during beta and now), as I've never seen anything like this before with any certification program. I haven't talked with anyone who scored below a 52, though... I'm pretty sure the pass rate is something near 100%.
