Default Software to view emails on your blackberry on a laptop?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a client that goes camping alot and gets great service where he camps, so he gets his emails on his blackberry but when hes out there he wants to be able to view those emails on the full size screen of his laptop. Is there any software out there that can do that kind of thing like a screen viewer or some specific email software.

Thanks

The only way to do this is to view the actual mailbox (server) with internet on the PC. There is no way to "browse" the email on the BB with the PC.

There are 3 different ways you can do this:
  1. Connect the BlackBerry to the USB of the laptop and use the network connection on the BlackBerry to connect to your WebMail from your laptop.
  2. Use the BayaLink Liberty to manage the email on the BlackBerry from a laptop
  3. Use Rove Mobile Viewer to simply display the screen of the BlackBerry on the laptop.

Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for.

The Bayalink liberty solution looks very interesting. With my current service provider (Telus) I have unlimited data but only on the device tethering will cost me $8/mb, do you know with this software will I be bypassing those charges as it is all transmitted over bluetooth (browsing)?

Thanks

Interesting. I wasn't aware of the Bayalink. However, it's $100 and you have to renew the license each year ($20/year.)

Neat solution, though.

This doesn't look like it would use a tethering plan. It would appear to use the normal BB data plan.

Interesting I just read about BayaLink Liberty. Anyone have any hands on experience?

Looks interesting. I just HATE the yearly renewal thing. However, I have a some users who pay $15 extra for tethering (since their worldwide BB data plan does not include tethering). Bayalink would still be cheaper.
