Default New syncing problems - strange

Please Login to Remove!

When attempting to sync my BB Curve with Outlook today I had two problems that I haven't seen before. I'm using Desktop software 6.1.0.20. I have several entries where husband and wife are entered in Outlook as "Jim & Betty Smith" and filed as "Smith, Jim & Betty." Previously BBDT has synced fine with the device and the entries are on the device as "Smith, Jim & Betty." Just today BBDT wants to sync these to the device as Last name - "Smith", First name - "Jim", Middle name "&". Another problem I have not had previously is with appointments that were deleted in Outlook. BBDT now wants to copy those back from the device to Outlook. It won't let me choose which appointments to sync - it's all or nothing.

You did not state if you changed any options but it sounds like something changed. normally Outlook has issues with the way your using the first names. It may be the & is not something your version likes. try a simple space as a test or another character. As for doing selective sync on appointments, read page 15 on the link below

The only thing I have changed is trying to get BBDT to stop trying to sync with iTunes every time I connect. I have many other entries with first names separated by "&" but the only ones that come up with this problem are the ones I recently added to Outlook. As for the appointments - In the past if I deleted an appointment from either Outlook or the device it would be deleted from the other on the next sync. Now it wants to add it back to where it was deleted. I don't see an option for that.
