Cellular wireless network v Wi-Fi

This is my first Blackberry phone (Torch 9800). I have a problem and fishing to see if someone can help.

I am disabled and spend the greater part of my time at home. I only use the T-Mobile network for voice and text messaging. All other facilities required are carried out through my Wi-Fi connection with BT broadband.

This worked perfectly on my previous phone HTC Ty-TN11. The <data> on the cellular network could be switched off and all access to the internet etc was via my Wi-Fi connection. This ensured that any extraneous data connections to the T-Mobile network draining away credit was prevented.

Now I have the Blackberry Torch I am incurring loads of small costs but significant when accumulated, on my T-Mobile network. These occur at random times making a farce of Pay As You Go. The only way I have been able to halt this is by switching <data> of on the T-Mobile network. Unfortunately, this prevents me accessing the internet via my Wi-Fi . Previously, I have switched off GPS, dropped from 2G and 3G to 2G on the cellular network. This made no difference.
There are two cost areas on my account. “Voice and Massaging” and “Third Party Data Usage”. There are no costs against the latter they are all against the first and include the ones I am trying to prevent. E.g. “TMO Network Coupon 2101 QOS1000” Some of these are charged and others not.

Is there any way on this Blackberry phone or within the Blackberry system that will allow the Wi-Fi and the T-Mobile network to run uncoupled from each other?
