I've got a BB 7520 and am having some serious battery issues.

It completely died the other day and wouldn't do anything when plugged in to the charger(s). It's about a year old and gets fairly heavy use so I decided to by a new battery. I bought an OEM battery at the Nextel store. Put it in the BB and it fired up right away. I charged it up and it worked great, but didn't last very long. Charged it again (to 100%) and it lasted right at 10 hours with NO phone use...NO radio use...NO ringer or vibrate...NO web use...and very little incoming email.

Now when I plug it in (both car charger and USB), I just get a really fast blinking red light. The BB won't boot up...nothing. I've removed the battery and left it out for a few minutes, but it just doesn't seem to do anything.

Any suggestions?

there could be something worng with the phone i would take it in for service maybe the bb has issues

It appears the problem might have been the "new" battery I purchased was faulty. The Nextel store put in another new battery and it did the same thing. But on the third battery it booted up and seems to be working.

Guess the moral of the story is "new" batteries are not necessarily better.

I take that back...I deep discharged the latest new battery last night and when I plugged it in (3 different chargers) all I get is an extremely fast blinking red light and the phone will not boot up. DEAD!

Not happy.

Yeah, I guess I'll send it off for repair.

One last thing. I bought yet another new battery. Put it in the BB and it booted right up. I kept on the car charger or USB charger most of the time for a few days. At 9pm Saturday night it had a 100% charge. I turned the radio off...made sure no programs were still running...and put it in the holster. When I checked it at 7am this morning it was dead.

10 hours of pure standby with the radio off on a 100% charge and it's now dead.
