It has been working great for me so far. I do have some suggestions though...
- Do not show buddies that are not signed on
- Show status of buddies (away, idle, etc)
- Ability to read away messages without messaging the buddy

To me those are the only important features that I would like to see added. Aside from that the program is working great. Thanks for the great program.

If you have the latest build (0.5.16), you can hide offline buddies by going to Preferences from the buddy list.

Your buddy's away status should be indicated by the light icon to the left of the buddy name (green = available, orange = away/idle, red = busy). You can also see a more detailed buddy info (status message, resource information for GTalk/Jabber) by choosing Buddy Info from the Buddy List.

Could I request that something be posted when there is a new build available. The last one I knew about was .14 but now by reading the previous post I see that .16 is now out.

My fiancee just informed me that there are actually different colors. I am color blind so I wasn't able to see the difference. Looks like you covered all my issues. Thanks!

Installed and started working with it this afternoon. Have set up AIM, Yahoo and MSN, just as I do on my multi-client Trillian on my PC. Overall it looks and works great so far. I have one question/suggestion:

When I look at "Buddy Info" it has "Nickname" as well as "Handle". I'm not sure which is which - one is the login name (Handle?) and the other shows as the same name for me - but I'm guessing is settable, by the buddy at the other end? Trillian allows me to edit that "nickname" to be whatever I want, to make it easy for me to see who it is. I'd like the ability within your program to make that value editable also.

Thanks!

I've been using all day. Seems to work quite well. One problem I noticed is if you add an account that you want removed there doesn't seem to be a way to do so unless I delete all of them.

I'm able to ping server, view logs, load buddy lists and successfully communicate with friends on AOL, MSN and Yahoo.

Notice that if your buddies have their status set to mobile it indicates "green" as if they are online and available. Maybe a future release could indicate a mobile indicator.

I will keep postings my findings. Would like to say great job! As others have expressed I hope it remains free as well.

Thanks for everyone's feedback thus far, please keep them coming.

You can delete accounts individually if you open up the accounts bar, select the account you want to delete, and choose "Delete Account" from the menu.

I just installed and tried to setup my IMs.

I setup the Gtalk and AIM. As soon as I tried to log in all, I got the error: Killed due to message queue overflow. :(

I cleaned up some of the contacts from my Gtalk and I could log into it without any issue.

I hate to compare the Gtalk using Jabber transport with this apps. However, using Gtalk with Jabber transport servers allow me to add the contact in the gtalk list so I have a complete control on whom I want to talk to using the Gtalk.

Can I set my status for individual contact? For example, I want to be invisible to some users, but be always visible to some others.

we currently do not support invisible modes.

we do have a blocking feature under development, which will give you the ability to block people on your buddy list, so you should be able to then appear offline to those you blocked.

If I use this blocking feature, would it also block the contacts when I use the Yahoo / MSN / AIM / Gtalk clients from PC?

Additionally, what is the max contact number I could have per each IM login?

yes, we use the native network as much as possible, so what you set/change in this app should also work when you log in from somewhere else.

this should be the case for blocking, as all the services have the basic blocking capability, so all we'll be tapping into that.

we don't have a hard limit on the number of buddies you can have right now. so it's as many as the app/network/your phone can handle.

if we run into some hard stops during testing, we may put in a limit.

Would you have a fix for the latest version of the apps to address the 'overflow' issue I had?

Can I block a contact from your program when the contact is offline?

Sorry for the confusion, I said the blocking feature is under development, it is not available in the current build.

Thanks for looking into trying to get this to work with Bell Mobility (no TCP/IP stacking available with Bell Mobility). Keep up the good work and looking forward to your feedback.

Cheers

Good morning, Kai...

Any comments regarding my earlier note? Seems like making a user "nickname" something that I could set and change within the app isn't too hard a thing to do (although I do understand that every new feature takes work!)

Again, I'm very impressed with the program so far. If you continue to support it the way you're doing here, and addressing user's needs in future releases - this is a program I'd very willingly pay good money for!

Thanks...
