Default Power Problem

Please Login to Remove!

My BB Torch 9800 I baught second hand, was working fine for ages, but now when I turn it off I can't turn it back on untill I charge it why is this? Any help/advise would be appreciated thanks

Was the battery dead? If so, it won't come on until it has enough power (generally about 15% charge) to come on.

And do not let the device run below 20%, otherwise you can damage the battery, could be part of your problem now.

common issue with any LI type battery. Only buy a Blackberry OEM type battery.

No the battery was like 3/4 full and the battery is an original and now my touch screen has stopped working also :/ the battery is full at the moment I am going to do a battery pull to see if my screen starts working and to see if the phone will actuall come back on thanks for your help

Ok so this time it came on started on the loading screen then restarted and came on, but still no touchscreen? :/

Sorry I'm writing again I'm just trying to give all the info I can the touch works after a battery pull I left it out for around 5mins and it works when the slide is down thanks all help is appreciated

Sounds like it has water or drop damage or a bad battery.

No water damage I've made sure not to get it wet as my last bb curve 8900 broke from a drop of water lol and I've dropped it once or twice but it was in a leather case so protected I've read somewhere on google that it may be a loose connection or damage to the strip that connects the back part to the screen but I don't know lol

Just because it was in a case when it hit the ground doesn't mean it's protected completely. You may still have damaged something internally and likely need to take it to a repair shop.
