Please Login to Remove!

so i went to an at&t store today to check out the bold...like the screen...i went to option to check how much internal free memory it has and it said about 22 MB free. i though someone here said the bold suppose to have 1 GB of internal memory? ah hell nah...i was expecting leap and bound with the bold...i guess i stick with my curve for now. the only good thing about the bold is wifi and 3g but i heard it drain battery life.

The 1GB storage memory is for storing music, pictures, etc. I believe the Bold has 128MB internal memory.

The Bold has 128mb of device memory, plus 1GB of internal media memory. (It's like having a 1GB SD card permanently inside your device.)
It also has an external SD slot to add more media memory.

Good God man do your own R-E-S-E-A-R-C-H and quit relying on what you heard or read somewhere. Right off the AT&T website;

Internal Memory Storage
128 MB ROM, 1 GB onboard storage
i.e. onboard media card (will not show as memory)
Expandable Memory Storage
32 GB

To check available memory on the Bold go to Options > Memory. You will see two seperate listings.

Wow, it has 128 MB of internal memory and only has 22 MB free? What is it all being used for?

Given the amount of core apps and the OS itself, I'm not surprised that it's approaching 80-85% capacity. I don't think it should be a cause for concern.

EDIT: Then again, I have PocketDay Pro, PocketDay Sports, Facebook, AT&T Navigator, GMail, JiveTalk, TwitterBerry, Google Maps, Poynt (Beta), AT&T Navigator, BBSmart Shortcuts, BBSmart Alarm Pro (which is broken at the moment) and Viigo installed on top of the OS and its core apps and I have in excess of 26mb free.

Again wrong:

The bold has 128 mb or RAM
1 gb of ROM on the board or internally as said above
and is shipped with 1 gb MicroSD,

So out of the box it has 2 gb of ROM total

I have most of what you have installed but I cant seem to get these two working:

Viigo - error opening - wont open
Gmaps - wont create directions, just opens map/gps location

any tips for me?

Maybe for your carrier.
Not all carriers ship the device with a 1GB microSD card bundled with the device.

I'll look again but I didn't see any MicroSD card in my AT&T box.

I got that. ;)

You used the word "maybe" so I wasn't sure if I should expect a microSD accessory or not. All indications seem to point that AT&T doesn't. Was simply looking for a definitive confirmation.
