I have written a one liner application that simply opens up the blackberry browser when the application loads.
The application works perfectly on the simulator when debugging through the JDE. It also works great when I install "OTA" through the MDS simulator.
The problem occurs only on physical blackberry devices -- it happens on two separate models.
The application installs fine OTA and through the Web Loader, however when I go to launch it, I get this error on the screen:
Error Starting iQbb:
Symbol '.in' not found.
When I attach the debugger to my physical device, this is what I see:
Starting iQbb
VM:LINK iQbb
Symbol '.in' not found.
Linker error: 'VerifyError' for iQbb
Error starting iQbb: Symbol '.in' not found.
Here is my code:
Quote:
import net.rim.blackberry.api.browser.Browser;
public class iQbb
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
Browser.getDefaultSession().displayPage("http://mywebsite.com/default.aspx");
}
}

The api is not yet signed, so I do expect this application to fail in the end, but not this error. It's worth noting that I get the same error message when i remove the reference to the api and comment out the only line of code in main()
