Angry Opera Mini Issues

Please Login to Remove!

I recently downloaded a newer version of Opera Mini for my 8700 and after the installation there were two Opera Mini icons. So, I went to delete Opera Mini from the application list and it still left one of the Opera Mini programs installed. Now there is no application to delete but I still have the program. Is there any way to delete this program?

Did you use Application Loader to remove the application?

It sounds like it left some modules behind. Go to advanced options and click your track wheel. Select modules, then look for and delete anything that has to do with opera. MAKE SURE you know what you are deleteing. You can muck things up if you delete the wrong things.

I did not delete it from the application loader on the desktop software. I deleted it though the phone. It is not listed though on the application loader on the desktop software.

Is there any way to find out what the module names for Opera should be? From a quick scroll through nothing had opera in it, but some of the extensions run off the screen.

Found it... The module that is still on the phone is operette$3dhhifi. The problem is that there is no option to delete this module. Only to edit it the module. Also I am afraid if I install it again two icons will appear like before. Any suggestions?

Fixed it... Just reinstalled Opera Mini and this time only one icon was present. I deleted the program and this time everything removed. I then reinstalled everything and it works great.

is there a version of firefox for BB? I have the 8703e and would love to know if there is something I can use besides the basic BB browser.

Actually, I would like to know is there any reason to use something else?

Opera Mini is an alternative to the BB browser. I use Opera Mini because I feel it is a bit quicker then the BB browser and the pages load more like the actual site instead of adjusted for a phone.

Opera Mini is available to all Sprint and Cingular customers. Availability for T-Mobile customers is dependent on the subscription plan. BREW-enabled phones, including Verizon, are currently not supported.
Download Opera Miniâ„¢ - Opera Software
