Default Newbie - Some help please

Hi everyone

I have just bought a new phone. I've got a Blackberry Bold on T-Mobile (UK).

I have set up my email address so I can get my emails automatically. So far it is working fine. I find the Instant Messenger a little slow (in fact instant isn't a word I would use to describe it!!!)

I'm interested in finding things to put on the phone to make the most use out of it possible. Can anyone suggest anything? Ideally I'm looking for free software!!!!

Also, is there a version of TomTom available for a Blackberry?

Thanks in advance

To my knowledge, TomTom is not supported on the BB (i wish it was!) I've used a couple of free gps programs that use data to download routes and maps. Amaze gps, and nav4all are both free. Also, I assume google maps works in UK? Those are really the only additional apps I've added that I use on a regular basis.

Default Messenger

I've just added MSN Messenger.

Is there a decent programme to watch films on?

I have a few dvd's that I'd like to convert and put on the Blackberry. What file type should I use (that is if there is a programme available to watch them on)?

There is a built-in program for films.

yay another t-mobile uk person! lol
and yes, google maps works in the uk....

msn messenger or any instant messenger is slow on a GPRS connection, better on 3G and more like a PC version when using wi-fi.
