Lack of response may tell you something.

Or lack of response may just mean that there aren't alot of people with this device. I have it, use it as my "daily driver" if you will, and love it. Its a bullet-proof phone with the Nextel connectivity (or in your case, Boost, which is just the pre-paid variation), and a 4.6 OS. You too will love it... the problem with this phone, as with all 83xx Curves is that they have already become old technology in the Blackberry world. The 'berry platform is being constantly updated and the latest and greatest are the 9xxx series.
Having said that, coming from a Pearl device, I repeat, you will love it! Good luck...

I loved mine, until it was found (dropped it somewhere while out running errands). Whoever found it decided to keep it. I had the InstaMapper app on the phone, and it was set to turn on the App and send out the current GPS position of the phone. I can attest to the fact that InstaMapper works! But the local police don't care about my case; it's now been over a month and no returned calls! You all know how much personal info and pics of your family etc are on your phones!

The 8350i is a great BlackBerry. Very stable, and I do plan on replacing it with another 8350i when my contract is up May 1st.

Thanks I appreciate it thats why I posted the question to get the goods and bads of it. The iden is what the 8350i is right???? Is there any downfalls to this type. I think from what I gather is the iden is for the walkie talkie part of the phone... I actually will never use that feature prob. Just asking about this phone cause I have a friend that can get the 8350i from sprint and convert it to work with boost. He has the same phone using it with boost 50.00 a month unlimited talk and text(nice plan). I didnt know with me not caring about the walkie talkie part if there was another blackberry that would work with boost... I know the tour with sprint has sprint TV on it. I dont think if that was used on boost that I could get tv though.....Any opinions would be appreciated.....

That's what I meant, at least one possibility, that there are relatively few who even have experience with it.

People need to be patient when they post a question, and not expect someone to jump on it and respond. Eventually someone, or some two or three eventually will.

No problem. At least not for me. But it's considered poor forum etiquette to bump your own threads without allowing a reasonable time. But live and learn.

I do alot of texting and photo sharing so I hope this 8350i can do that on my Boost Unlimited talk and text plan..lol Only reason Im getting the 8350i iden phone is cause my friend can get me one 130.00 and its a blackberry. Thats why I asked is there better blackberry to use on Boost than this one. I dont care about walkie talkie..

I'm not sure iden supports text (SMS). Check into it if you haven't committed yet.

Just check it out. Google iDen and SMS. Also search the forum on iDen. Don't trust the salesman outright. Do your homework.

Ok. There's something more to it than I understand, but no big deal. I just wanted you to look before you leap, and sounds like you have. Good luck with the device.

the salesman is his buddy... lol, lmao, pbr me asap, fyi, wtf, csi, ttyl. If you don't need the Nextel direct-connect, look into an 8330, they can be set up on boost as well, and is capable of way more than the 8350i. The only real reason to even consider an 8350i is if you are with a company and need the two way feature or a blackberry at all for that matter, is the email.
And the iDen network uses MMS, not SMS. Picture and text messaging is hit or miss at best on the iDen network... I do alot of it as well, and a good percentage of recipients don't ever recieve, or if they do, it may be a day later. Again, if you're into picture messaging and texting, there are much better phones and networks than Nextel.

ok thanks I will look into the 8330 I want say I do a great deal of picture messaging but I do some. Now text I prob send and receive umm 5500 text a month total. Thats basically what I was wanting to know was there a better BB I would like than the 8350i with Boost Service cause the 8350i seems to be more for two way then you have to have someone else that has that feature. No one I talk to does. I want the Boost Service for the unlimited plan I have been with tmobile now about 5 yrs and there BB plan is 34.99 add on to your min plan I have 1800 free min I end up paying 130.00 a month which its family share plan but the other line is about to be cut off. I want to get out of tmobile and just pay 60.00 a month unlimited talk, txt, data. So will the 8330 do alot better with texting My buddy did say sometimes he gets delayed txt with the 8350i. Sounds like there are bugs still in the iden phones maybe........I appreciate all of you guys time.. So 8330 umm I dont like I would be happy with this 8350i even though its 130.00. I did find this though said it allowed all features to work flawlessly, but like you say delayed. Is there newer model BB that would work well with Boost??

So with a Sprint 8330 Im guessing it needs a unlock code to be able to work on Boost??? Will the Sprint 8330 have all functions as the Boot Mobile 8330?? I see the Boost 8330 249.99 I see the Sprint 8330 alot cheaper. Just didnt know if all the features would work with the Sprint on Boost
